School Board approves contract for bus services with Durham

The Concordia Parish School Board -- after rejecting a bus contract last month on a tie vote -- approved a three-year deal with Durham Bus Services Thursday night.

The contract was approved by a 5-3 margin at the board's regular meeting.

Board members opposing the contract were Martha Rabb, Mary Campbell and Daryl Price. In support were Fred Butcher, Ricky Raven, Darlene Baker, president Gary Parnham and vice-president Raymond Riley, who along with Raven voted against the contract in May.

Price was not in attendance at last month's meeting. Deanie Roberts, who supported the contract last month, did not attend Thursday's meeting.
