Funeral services for Delora Burdan King ,92, of Natchez, who died Thursday June 17, 2010 at her residence, were held 10:30 a.m. Monday June 21, 2010 at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ronnie Cosby officiating.

Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. King was born November 26, 1917, in Mount George, Ark, the daughter of Edgar Burdan and Beulah McDaniel Burdan. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, James L. King; one sister, Faye George Bryant; four brothers, Ernest Burdan, Emmett Burdan, Homer Burdan and Robert (Babe) Burdan; and one greatgrandchild, Khandi Angel Walsworth.

Survivors include one daughter, Jean Walsworth and husband, James of Natchez; three grandchildren, Jamie Walsworth and wife, Darlene of Vidalia, Stephanie W. Burnette and husband, Vernon of St. Francisville, and Jeremy Walsworth and wife, Denise of Vidalia; six great-grandchildren, Brooke Walsworth, Jacob Brown, Zack Brown, Hunter Walsworth, Rutger Walsworth and Blake Walsworth.

Pallbearers were Jamie Walsworth, Jeremy Walsworth, Vernon Burnette, Jacob Brown, Zack Brown, Hunter Walsworth and Rutger Walsworth.

Honorary pallbearers were the Purple Hat Ladies.
