Road remediation work on 18 parish roads has been completed, Police Jury President Melvin Ferrington said this week.

The work was done as part of a settlement with W.E. Blain & Sons, the contractor hired by the Jury in 2006 for its Phase 1 hardsurfacing program.

"We are very satisfied," Ferrington said. "The work was completed after about two months. The last road was done on Thursday."
