Ferriday and Vidalia officials attended a meeting in Boyce Tuesday which focused on obtaining grant funding for infrastructure work.

Engineer Bryant Hammett, Vidalia Mayor Hyram Copeland and City Manager Ken Walker, and Ferriday Mayor Glen McGlothin attended the Municipal Infrastructure Planning Program.

The program was sponsored by the Office of Community Development's Disaster Recovery Unit, the Louisiana Municipal Association and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Hammett said there is $30 million in Community Development Block Grant funding being reallocated to municipalities affected by hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
