Services were held Monday, June 28, 2010, 2 p.m. at Mulhearn Funeral Chapel in Winnsboro for Nita Faye Cooper Maynor with Rev. Troy J. Dennard officiating.

Interment followed at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Nita Faye was born on February 17, 1933 in Sicily Island to Robert E. "Buster" Cooper and Oleta Newsom Cooper. Buster had moved to Sicily Island from Goss, Miss., where he met and married Oleta. Nita Faye was the eldest of three children. Her sister and best friend, Willie Mae Cooper Fisher resides in Lake Providence. The youngest of their family, brother, Bobby Ray Cooper and wife, Millie, live in Oak Grove.

J. Lester Maynor married the love of his life when she was only a sweet 15 years old. For the past 61 years, she and Lester have been devoted to each other and their three children, six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. In 1963, they built their home on the original Maynor property on Liddieville Road. It was there that Nita Faye enjoyed working in her flowers, crocheting, visiting with friends, and cooking delicious chocolate pies for Lester and for every family holiday dinner.

Nita Faye was a member of Temple Baptist church and kept Christ in her heart and deeds, even after illness prevented her from attending services. She witnessed for Christ through her devotion and generosity to family and friends.

Nita's family is her legacy. Her first born, Glenda Faye Maynor Littleton, and husband, Thomas resides in Bastrop. Their daughter Angela Littleton Jaggers, husband Marvin, and children Chelsea and Maverick live nearby. Melissa Littleton Gallagher, husband Tommy and children Micheal, Matthew, and Megan make their home in Ruston. The youngest daughter, Kathleen Maynor Erwin, and husband Aaron make their residence in Cornersville, Tenn. Her daughter, Alicia, husband Danny and children Avery, Laurel, and Talon reside in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Nita Faye's son, Robert, has made Hebert his home. His son, Michael, wife Bambi and children Rayven and Phoenix also live nearby in Hebert. Katie, the youngest grandchild has three children, Lauren, Kenneth, and Justin.

Nita Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. "Buster" Cooper and Oleta Cooper, and by her oldest grandson, Damon Christopher Adams.

She is survived and ever loved by her lifelong companion, Lester Maynor, children Glenda, Kathleen, and Robert, grandchildren Angela, Melissa, Alicia, Michael, and Katie, great-grandchildren Chelsea, Maverick, Micheal, Matthew, Megan, Avery, Laurel, Talon, Rayven, Phoenix, Lauren, Kenneth, and Justin, and nine nieces and for nephews.

Nita Faye had a host of special friends that will forever remember her.

Pallbearers were Marvin Jaggers, Tommy Gallagher, Michael Maynor, Danny Enroth, Glenn Good, and Jimmy Ross.
