Engagement Anders - Durel
Mr. and Mrs. John Felix "Andy" Anders, Jr. of Ferriday announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Ratcliff Anders to Jason Joseph Durel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Joseph "Joey" Durel, Jr. of Lafayette.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Huntington High School in Ferriday, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. She plans to practice in Breaux Bridge following the ceremony.
She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Felix Anders and the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Young Ratcliff.
The groom is a graduate of Saint Thomas Moore High School in Lafayette, Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss., and Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is currently a senior resident physician with the Louisiana State University department of Otolaryngology.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Joseph Durel, Sr. of Lafayette, Mrs. Inez Guilbeau Miller of Lafayette, and the late Doctor Dale Everett Miller.
The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Saint Martin de Tours in Saint Martinville. A reception will follow at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette.
