Ferriday shows $312,862 deficit
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Town of Ferriday amended its 2010 budget during a special meeting Tuesday night, reflecting a $312,862 deficit.

Mayor Glen McGlothin said the deficit was caused by $450,000 in transfers from the town's general fund for work on its sewer and water plants during the past year.

Both systems required extensive work, he said, adding that the town would have operated in the black otherwise.
