Trisler, Durand win Senior 4-Ball Buddy Trisler and Allen Durand fired a 71 to win the Panola Woods Country Club Senior 4-Ball Saturday at Panola Woods.
The tournament is for golfers 50-and-over.
The teams of Doc Holliday and Fred McKey and Jerry Johns, C.J. Swillie and Babe Huff and Mitch Ashmore tied for second in the championship flight with 73s.
Frankie Spence and Pat Hinson and Larry Wagoner and Doug Wike fired 74s, while Wayne Miley and Derrell Reid came in at 75.
Tying for top honors in the first round with 76s were the teams of Clyde and Curtis Savoy, Craig Edwards and Terry Bradford, Wayne Stewart and Buddy Little and Tommy Barton and Ellis Knapp.
Finishing on top of the second flight with 78s were Cleve Womack and Lamar Carson and Mike Wilson and Don Valentine.
Mike Smith and Lee Rife and Gordon Paul and Gene Wilbanks came in with 82s,
The Budweiser 4-Ball will be held July 16-17, while the Panola Men's Championship is slated for August 7-8. |
