James Ralph Flaherty Funeral services for James Ralph Flaherty, 65, of Simmesport were held at Acme Free Methodist Church on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, 2 p.m. with Bro. Bobby Cazelot and Bro. Glenn Mayeaux officiating.
Interment followed at Acme Free Methodist Church under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Mr. Flaherty was born July 16, 1944, in Ferriday and passed away Saturday July 3, 2010, at home with family by his side.
He was a lifelong resident of New Era. He worked offshore most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Maudel Flaherty; a sister, Doris Charrier; and brother, Terry Flaherty.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Debbie Flaherty of Simmesport; daughter, Tonya Coco and husband, Leon, of Simmesport; daughter, Tracy Flaherty of West Monroe; and son, James Flaherty and wife Vickie of Jena; two sisters, Maxine Delhoste of Acme and Carolyn Beard of Lismore; six grandchildren -- Steven Flaherty, Wade Flaherty, Jerry Lane Flaherty, Tyler Flaherty, Joshua Coco and Jacob Coco.
Pallbearers were Leon Coco, Joshua Coco, Marty Coco, Winston Flaherty, Lanny Lipsey and Lee Dale. |
