posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Eight local races featuring 21 candidates are on the ballot in Concordia, while Vidalia city judge, an alderman slot in Ferriday and five School Board posts were filled outright last week when incumbents drew no opposition.

Races are scheduled, however, for Vidalia city marshal, Ridgecrest mayor, Ridgcrest police chief, Ridgecrest aldermen and four School Board slots.

Candidates also qualified last week for lieutenant governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.

The primary for U.S. Senate and U.S. House is slated for Aug. 28, while the primary for local races and lieutenant governor is scheduled for October 2.

The general, or run-off election, is slated for Nov. 2.
