McCullin delivering as 'relief' pastor at Vidalia FBC

First Baptist Church Vidalia interim pastor Bill McCullin loves the sport of tennis.

But he might be better compared to a relief pitcher in baseball. A top-notch relief pitcher, at that.

"I have always wanted to help leave a church better than I found it," McCullin said.

McCullin is certainly delivering at Vidalia FBC, where the church numbers have increased steadily since his arrival in January after former FBC Vidalia minister Dan Glenn accepted a ministerial position in Florida.

"I didn't know anything about the church before," McCullin said. "I had been through Vidalia before going to Natchez and didn't really realize I was going through it. But there's a real draw here. I felt a very special interest in First Baptist Vidalia."

McCullin graduated from Pineville High and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary .
