Concordia law officers arrested four people Saturday night and confiscated illegal narcotics with an estimated street value of $200,000.

Sheriff Randy Maxwell said it was one of the biggest drug busts in the history of the parish. The Concordia Narcotics Task Force and Ferriday Police Department made the arrests and drug seizure.

"This was more than a kilo of cocaine, assorted guns, marijuana and other illegal narcotics on the premises," Maxwell said.

Maxwell said he is certain that these arrests will be a "major blow to the drug trade in this entire region. There's no doubt in my mind that these drugs were destined to be distributed throughout the entire region -- Concordia, Catahoula, Tensas, and Adams County."
