Governor to attend church at Lismore Sunday
Gov. Bobby Jindal will attend services and speak at Lismore Baptist Church in Lismore Sunday.
Morning worship at Lismore Baptist is scheduled for 10:45 a.m.
"We're elated," said Lismore deacon Gilbert McMillin. "We've been trying to get him here for two years, but between the storms and oil spill he has not been able to make it. We're really looking forward to it."
A reception honoring Jindal will follow at 12 p.m. at the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office Monterey Substation.
