Sandifer posts bond in Franklin Parish

New charges were filed in Winnsboro on Friday against a Louisiana State Trooper after he posted bond in Concordia Parish.

Jay Sandifer, 39, on forced annual leave, was charged with molestation of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile and booked into the Franklin Parish Detention Center.

He was later released under a $30,000 bond, according to Chief Deputy Kevin Cobb.

In Concordia, bond for Sandifer was reduced from $1.75 million to $200,000 on August 4 on sexual charges involving a juvenile.

Sandifer was arrested in Concordia on July 19.
