Governor presents grants to parish on Sunday Gov. Bobby Jindal awarded five Local Government Assistance Program (LGAP) grants totaling $151,831 to Concordia Parish entities that will be used for infrastructure improvements.
Jindal spoke at the Lismore Baptist Church prior to the fund presentation.
The governor awarded the funds to local officials in a ceremonial check presentation during a reception at the new Monterey Substation of the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office Sunday morning.
"These are competitive grants that help communities upgrade and maintain critical infrastructure projects in their areas and help improve the quality of life for their residents," Jindal pointed out.
