Early voting underway for party primaries

A total of 33 early votes were cast through Tuesday for the Aug. 28 party primaries.

Early voting began Saturday, Aug. 14, and continues through Saturday, Aug. 21.

Office hours at the Registrar of Voters office in Vidalia will be from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the early voting period.

Voter registration in Concordia now stands at 13,722, according to the Registrar of Voters office. Registration closed in July for the August party primary election.

Voter numbers are up by 28 since May.

The Aug. 28 ballot will include party primaries for U.S. Senator and U.S. Representative, according to Registrar of Voters Golda Ensminger.
