Tensas hosts Calvary Tensas Academy hosts Calvary in its first game in a meeting of the two teams that have played for the 8-man football championship the past two years. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, Calvary won both of those games. "They are still the champions until somebody beats them," said Tensas head coach Joe Coats. "They lost a few players, but everybody just about has a new team. We're both rebuilding." Tensas defeated Mt. Salus and Briarfield in the Rebul Jamboree last week in Learned, Ms. "It was so hot that nobody there really looked good," Coats said. Coats does not have a senior on his team. "We've got several guys in new positions," he said. "We're making a lot of mistakes, but that's to be expected early. We did make some improvement from our scrimmage to the jamboree. We just want to get better and have a decent team by the end of the season."
