Meeting next week on courthouse roof Concordia Parish Police Jury President Melvin Ferrington said he will meet with state and parish emergency management officials next week to discuss the cost and specifications for a new roof on the new courthouse.
Ferrington said a quote for construction of a pitched metal roof is higher than the $555,000 in grant funding the Jury has available for the project, while a quote for a flat roof is affordable.
In a meeting with officials with the Governor's Office on Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness and the Federal Emergency Management Area, Ferrington said he will ask what course the Jury should take.
