Parish, state issue burn ban
A burn ban has been issued by Concordia Parish Police Jury President Melvin Ferrington due to extreme dry conditions.
"Due the lack of rainfall and after talking to Nolan Cothren with Concordia Fire District No. 1 we decided to issue a burn ban," said Ferrington. "This will be in effect until we get significant rainfall."
