Voters in Concordia approved the renewal of the parishwide health unit tax, elected four School Board members, a Vidalia town marshal and a mayor in Ridgecrest.

One School Board race and the Ridgecrest mayor's race were settled by one vote.

Only 24 percent of the electorate turned out for the election, according to Clerk of Court Clyde Ray Webber.

The 1.81-mill tax renewal for the health unit was passed with 68% of the vote. A total of 1,809 voters supported the measure compared to 833 against. The tax was approved in all 21 precincts and absentee voting.
