Foul play suspected in teen girl's death; body found north of Harrisonburg Foul play is suspected in the death of a teenage white female found in a wooded area north of Harrisonburg late last week, according to Catahoula Parish Sheriff James Kelly.
Kelly also said this morning (Wednesday) that the FBI became involved in the investigation on Tuesday.
Additionally, he said forensic pathologist Mary Manhein of LSU has visited the scene and is assisting.
According to Kelly, Manhein has determined that the white female is age 12 to 16, under the height of 5-4, had thick medium to long length brown hair and braces on her upper jaw with a pink rubber band. Manhein believes the female could have been missing for as long as six months.
