School Board sets meeting with majorettes

The Concordia Parish School Board voted Thursday night to have the superintendent meet with a majorette team made up of Vidalia High School students to "discuss the disposition of the majorettes for this school year."

The majorette team was disbanded at Vidalia High in July after the new band director decided not to continue with auxiliaries. Majorette sponsors -- Stacy McGraw, Carla Poole and Brenda Harris -- told board members at Thursday's meeting that they felt the group had been mistreated concerning participation in the Vidalia High homecoming parade.
