The Concordia Parish Police Jury adopted a revised budget Monday night reflecting a 25 percent reduction in revenue for its general fund.

Jury President Melvin Ferrington blamed declining severance and sales tax income for the budget revision.

He said the Jury adopted a $2 million general fund budget for 2010 that included an estimated $980,000 in severance tax income. But he said that income was slashed to about $350,000 total through October.
