The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has determined that parish residents whose homes were damaged during a 10-inch rain on Aug. 18 are not eligible for federal disaster assistance.

Morris White, Concordia's Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Director, said his local office, then the state office, identified 100-plus homes as having some degree of damage from the storm while nine, all located in Concordia Park, received major damage.
