Parish voters will go to the polls on Tuesday to help elect a U.S. Senator, U.S. Congressman, Lieutenant Governor and decide the fate of 10 constitutional amendments.

Clerk of Court Clyde Ray Webber said polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

"I think we'll see a 20 to 25 percent turnout, maybe a little more," said Webber. "There's nothing on the ballot that is really going to motivate anybody unless they are really fervent about one side or the other."

A total of 434 early votes (399 in-person, 35 mail) were cast through the early voting period which ended Tuesday. Registrar of Voters Golda Ensminger said mail absentee ballot requests are being accepted through Friday, Oct. 29, for those who qualify.
