Copeland pushes drainage at Vidalia meeting

Vidalia Mayor Hyram Copeland kept plugging at the issue of drainage at the city council meeting Tuesday night.

Copeland said that drainage had been an issue since he began public service in 1976 and the topic surfaced again following a 10-inch rain in August. It also came to a head Monday at the Concordia Parish Police Jury when the drainage study relating to the new 80-acre development for a municipal and recreation complex was questioned.
