Board members elected Tuesday for Concordia Chamber of Commerce
The Concordia Parish Chamber of Commerce first Board of Directors was elected Tuesday at a joint meeting of Ferriday and Vidalia chambers at the Delta Music Museum Arcade.
Members of the first board include Lena Bateman, Georganna Berry, Judith Bingham, Jimmy Boyd , Lawrence Chauvin , Scott Christian , Rev. Simeon Green , Cathy Hinson , Tance Hughes , Sam Jones , Ryan Paul , Rena Pitts , Mike Smith, Sarah Smith ,and Vernon Stevens.
"This is a very important decision," said Heather Malone, Director of the Concordia Parish Economic and Industrial Development. "These people have a tough job and they are going to work hard. This is not a merger, this is a new chamber with new rules and everything."
