Officials from the Miss Lou turned out for a Council of Government regionalism meeting in Vidalia Monday night hosted by the Miss Lou Regional Economic Development Committee

Heather Malone, Executive Director of the Concordia Parish Industrial and Economic District, said the turnout "was good for our first meeting. We had about one-third of the invitation list to attend. However, we do hope to increase the attendance at each meeting. "

She said the meetings will be held quarterly, the next scheduled for February.

The topic of Monday's meeting was regionalism and the Miss Lou Regional Initiative. Elected officials had an opportunity to ask questions of the steering committee representatives as well as the economic development directors in Concordia and Adams.
