Mayor's veto puts bingo back in Council's hands

The Ferriday Board of Aldermen will need four of five votes to override Mayor Glen McGlothin's veto of electronic video bingo.

The Council approved electronic video bingo last week.

McGlothin said he vetoed the measure and sent a letter to aldermen last week saying he believes his decision to be in the best interest of the citizens.

Elijah "Stepper" Banks, who offered the motion, Gail Pryor and Gloria Lloyd voted for electronic video bingo, Somer Lance voted against it, while Johnnie Brown abstained.
