More than 75 citizens from the Miss-Lou community attended a luncheon in Vidalia on Thursday where Dr. Hank Kuiper, a general surgeon from Natchez, discussed the economic benefits of keeping patients in the Miss Lou.

Elected officials, members of the business community and personnel from medical facilities were in attendance.

The event was sponsored by the area chambers of commerce and the Miss Lou Regional Health Care Committee.
