Vidalia officials meet Congressional leaders in Washington Vidalia Mayor Hyram Copeland, Concordia Economic Development Director Heather Malone, Engineer Bryant Hammett and Vidalia Alderman Triand McCoy met with Congressional officials in Washington this week to discuss issues including appropriations, the Vidalia port and parish drainage.
"We had good meetings and it's always great to maintain and create relationships with existing staff members and new members," Malone said.
The group met with Sen. Mary Landrieu, Congressman Rodney Alexander and with officials with Sen. David Vitter's office.
