Baton Rouge Community College men's basketball team won its fourth gme in a row Monday defeating Hinds Community College 70-37 as Vidalia native Torrey Dixon scored 21 points, 15 in the first half.

Dixon also had 14 rebounds.

BRCC stays at home for back-to-back games against the East Point Club Team from Atlanta — 6 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday.

Former Vidalia High standout Gary Stewart, a true freshman at Northwestern State, is averaging 7.8 points and 3.1 rebounds a game, having started three games. He is averaging 20.1 minutes a game and has made 17-of-20 free throws.

Former Ferriday Lady Trojan Jasmine Upchurch has started three games for Northwestern's Lady Demons.

The sophomore is averaging 6.8 points a game and 3.4 rebounds over 14.3 minutes a game.
