Delta museum revising schedule, plans
Delta Music Museum Director Judith Bingham said that due to state budget cuts, the museum has been ordered to change its hours to Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum will now be closed on Mondays.
Bingham also told Ferriday Chamber of Commerce members at their final meeting Tuesday at Concordia Bank that the annual Delta Music Festival may not be held in 2011.
"It's up in the air right now," Bingham said. "It needs to be taken to a higher level and we don't have the funds to do that. I'm meeting with the mayor (Glen McGlothin) and Tommy Polk and we're going to try and come up with some kind of idea on how to continue it."
