The Town of Ferriday will host a public hearing Jan. 11 to receive input from town residents.

Public input is sought to aid the Ferriday Town Council in deciding whether to approve a payment plan to reimburse former Mayor Sammy Davis Jr.'s estate for legal expenses Davis incurred in defending himself against charges of criminal misconduct when he served as mayor in the 1980s. Davis was convicted on one charge of malfeasance in office. His conviction was overturned by the state Supreme Court.
