Louisiana HonorAir will make a "Lagniappe" Flight to the World War II Memorial in Washington on Saturday, May 28, 2011.

To be eligible, Louisiana WWII Veterans need to have served sometime between December 1, 1941 and December 31, 1945. The flight will leave Lafayette approximately 7 a.m., but check-in is at 5 a.m. Breakfast will be provided before boarding the plane.

"I have been on four of the trips and I cannot praise it enough," said Ruth King of Jonesville. "WWII veterans are a group like no other."
