Vidalia man charged with assault

A Vidalia man was charged with domestic abuse battery assault, aggravated assault with a firearm and discharging a firearm in city limits today (Wednesday morning) after he fired a gun at a neighbor's feet and pointed the gun at another man.

Robert S. Trujillo, 43, 1219 Palm St., Vidalia, was charged after the incident which occurred early Saturday morning.

According to Vidalia Police Investigator Terry Thames, Trujillo was allegedly involved in a domestic abuse battery situation with his wife when two neighbors tried to break up the incident.
