Awards will be presented and the executive board will be announced during the first meeting of the Concordia Parish Chamber and Commerce Thursday night.

The program -- themed "Honor the Past...Celebrate the Future" -- will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Bryant O. Hammett Vidalia Conference & Convention Center.

Chamber Executive Director Jamie Burley said more than 200 guests are expected to attend the event during which a number of parish citizens will be honored.

"We will have a great time and we are stilling having people making reservations to attend," said Burley. "I anticipate people to continue calling today. We have had a really great response from our businesses who are sponsoring the event."

Clerk of Clyde Ray Webber is guest speaker and will be delivering some new material, said Burley, while Barry Maxwell will be doing a live auction. A silent auction is also scheduled.
