Secretary of State optimistic on museum future

Despite state cutbacks, Secretary of State Tom Schedler says he is optimistic the show will go on as far as the Delta Music Museum Festival is concerned.

"There's no reason to believe we can't go on with the festival," Schedler said at a meet and greet at the Delta Music Museum Friday. "We'll find a way to get it done. And I promise we will be loyal to this museum. Rural museums need to be on their own."

Schedler touched on the controversy on whether state museum's should be under the Secretary of State's office or the Lieutenant Governor's office.
