Riverland Medical Center has adopted a new slogan, changing from "a hospital that cares" to "quality care, compassionate service."

The new slogan was announced at Tuesday's board of directors meeting

"We're trying to change our image," said Riverland Administrator Lana Stamper. Stamper said the new slogan came out of one of the strategic planning committee meetings.

For the month of December, Riverland had revenue of $1,540,879. Expenses were $1,331,337. The hospital finished the month with revenue of $209,542.

The board re-elected Jim Graves as chairman, with Fred Butcher remaining as vice-chairman.
