Ferriday police ride-along slated Most of us think we know what the life of a patrolman in Ferriday is like, but, do we really? Now is your chance to find out.
Working in conjunction with the Ferriday Community Action Coalition, the Ferriday Police Department (FPD) invites and encourages all pastors, ministers, community leaders and business owners in Ferriday to take a ride with a patrolman in order to see first-hand what is really happening on the streets around town. Day and night shifts are available and the FPD will do their best to work with your schedule.
FPD Asst. Chief Johnny Evans stated, "I am hopeful that after experiencing 'the streets' that each of these men and women will join the efforts of the Coalition to get the Neighborhood Watch Program started all over Ferriday. The current participants in the Coalition believe that once this first step is taken, residents and business owners will then feel safer and will be encouraged to get involved so that Ferriday can move forward to address other issues that are hindering community and economic progress in the area."
If you would like to sign up for a ride or have questions, please contact Evans at the FPD or call him at 757-3606.
