=Roof construction will begin soon on three parish properties, the Concordia Parish Police Jury learned Monday night during its regular meeting.

Roof upgrades are slated at the old and new courthouses in Vidalia and at the Police Jury Maintenance Barn at Frogmore. All three projects are being funded by grants.

The work will also include sealing the buildings for wind and rain protection.

Jury President Melvin Ferrington said the starting date on the contract for the new courthouse roof was Monday.
