JCP hired as water system third party
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Ferriday Board of Aldermen voted by a 3-1 margin to hire JCP of Harrisonburg as the third party for the Ferriday water system at a special meeting Monday.

As third party, the company will manage the town's water system.

JCP of Harrisonburg was the lone company to send a Request For Proposal (RFP), or management proposal.

"We're anxious to get started and get something going," said Glenn Womack of JCP Management. "We want to put everyone at ease and see the light at the end of the tunnel."

Alderwomen Somer Lance and Gail Pryor and alderman Johnnie Brown voted for hiring JCP, while alderman Elijah "Stepper" Banks voted against it.

Alderwoman Gloria Lloyd was not in attendance at the meeting.
