Trial date moved to October in Green murder

The trial date for two men charged in the 2010 murder of Reginald Green of Ferriday has been rescheduled from August 29 to October 17.

"The rescheduling was due to an unforeseen medical situation with a key witness," according to District Attorney Brad Burget.

Bryant Lakeith Bethley and Daniel Durans Butler, both of Ferriday, have entered not guilty pleas to all charges related to the shooting death of Green, who was shot multiple times in the chest, head and mouth while sitting in his SUV in Ferriday on April 3, 2010.

Bethley and Butler were each additionally charged with attempted murder earlier this summer in connection to the three passengers in the SUV with Green when he was murdered.
