Concordia Police Jury to host regional meeting
The Concordia Parish Police Jury will host the Region 8 Annual Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center beginning at 7 p.m.
Concordia police juror Jimmy Jernigan is president of Region 8, comprised of police juries from Concordia, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Grant, LaSalle, Rapides, Vernon and Wynn.
Concordia Police Jury secretary-treasurer Hazel Dickson serves as secretary/treasurer of Region 8. Vice-President is George Romano of Avoyelles Parish and executive board member is Joe Bishop of Rapides Parish.
Jernigan will call the meeting to order, while Concordia police juror Whest Shirley will give the invocation and Concordia police juror Joe Parker will lead the pledge.
