The trial of two men charged in the 2010 murder of Reginald Green of Ferriday is slated to begin on Monday, Oct. 17.

Bryant Lakeith Bethley and Daniel Durans Butler, both of Ferriday, have entered not guilty pleas to all charges related to the shooting death of Green, who was shot multiple times in the chest, head and mouth while sitting in his SUV in Ferriday on April 3, 2010.

Bethley and Butler were each additionally charged with attempted murder earlier this summer in connection to the three passengers in the SUV with Green when he was murdered.

Further, Bethley, who was convicted of armed robbery in 1994, was charged with one count of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Two other men indicted in Green's murder, Reginald Butler and Andreas Marquez Cauley, previously pled guilty to the charges against them. Reginald Butler was charged with second degree murder and obstruction of justice. Cauley was charged with obstruction of justice for disposing of the 223-caliber assault rifle used in the murder.

Reginald Butler and Cauley will be sentenced after the trial of Daniel Butler and Bryant Lekeith Bethley.
