Concordia Parish participants in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) will receive $2.6 million in the coming days, according to Kevin Case, Executive Director of the Concordia Parish Farm Service Agency (FSA).

Case said FSA finished processing 2011 CRP annual rental payments at 4 p.m. Monday. He said that "593 CRP contracts with 834 Concordia Parish participants will be receiving a total of $2,635,889.00 in the next four to seven business days."

CRP is a voluntary program for agricultural landowners. Through CRP, participants can receive annual rental payments and cost-share assistance to establish long-term, resource conserving covers on eligible farmland.
