Early voting starts Saturday

Early voting for the Oct. 22 election begins Saturday, according to Registrar of Voters Golda Ensminger.

Ensminger said early voting is scheduled for Oct. 8-15 with the exception of Sunday, Oct. 9. Hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., including the noon hour.

She said 13,595 voters are eligible to cast ballots in the election.

The location of one election day polling place has been changed due to construction work. Voters who cast ballots at the Central Louisiana Technical College Shelby Jackson campus will vote instead at the old Stozier's U-Pak building in Ferriday, according to the Concordia Parish Police Jury.
