Three parish, four police jury races set in Tensas Registrar of Voters Bobby James said 4,165 voters are eligible to cast ballots in Tensas on election day Saturday.
Voters will elect a sheriff, clerk of court and assessor in parishwide races, while only four of nine police jurors are opposed.
James said 633 in-person votes were cast through the last day to early vote on Saturday, while 197 mail-in ballots were counted through Monday morning.
Candidates are as follows:
Sheriff: Edward L. Brown, St. Joseph; "Johnny" Daves, Newellton; Rickey A. Jones (incumbent), St. Joseph.
Clerk of Court: Burnie E. Ratcliff, St. Joseph; Ernest Sikes (incumbent), St. Joseph.
Assessor: Boyd Britton "Britt" Keahey, St. Joseph; Rhonda Turner King, Newellton; Donna Randolph Ratcliff, St. Joseph; Hattie Chambers Ward, Newellton.
Police Juror District 3: Jane Netterville (incumbent), St. Joseph; John D. "Bubba" Wynn, St. Joseph.
Police Juror District 5: George W. Gray, St. Joseph; Esaw Turner, St. Joseph; "Rod" Webb (incumbent), St. Joseph; Diane Yarrington, St. Joseph.
Police Juror District 6: Bobby Enterkin, Waterproof; Carl Frank Olds (incumbent), Waterproof; Robert J. "Bubba" Rushing, St. Joseph.
Police Juror District 7: Robert L. Clark, Waterproof; Woodrow Wiley (incumbent), Waterproof.
BESE District 5: Keith Guice, Monroe; "Jay" Guillot, Ruston.
State Representative 20th Representative District: Steven E. Pylant, Delhi; "Cleve" Womack, Jonesville.
