'Pink ladies' at work at RMC

It's only fitting the "pink ladies" at Riverland Medical Center run the hospital's gift shop.

Because they are certainly a gift to Riverland.

Gloria Houck and Martha Perkins serve as Riverland's "pink ladies," volunteers who spend about eight hours a week each running the gift shop, delivering magazines to different departments and assisting visitors wherever possible.

"We really appreciate everything they do," said Riverland Compliance Officer Maryrose Welch. "I don't know what we would do without them."
