An investigation into a fatality Saturday night in Vidalia is continuing as the Vidalia Police Department is waiting on a toxicology report to complete its report.

Tommy Warner, 43, of Vidalia was struck by a car while crossing Carter Street near Continental Food Mart.

According to a statement from the Vidalia Police Department, Warner, 111 Gillespie St., was crossing the highway when he was struck by a small SUV driven by Kathleen McCarthy of Jonesville.

"Right now we don't see any negligence," said Vidalia Police Chief Arthur Lewis.
